Research on Cultural Knowledge of Technical Students

The Background

This research was made to find out something about cultural undestanding among technical students. As a test I used a questionnaire of 40 true/false-questions. I don`t know for sure where the questionnaire came from, but AIESEC TUT had it for people to fill. And that`s where I collected them.

The questionnaire was introduced to the students at a happening, where representatives of various companies were introducing their companies to students. AIESEC was the organiser and we, of course, had our own table there. Many people came to our table and filled the questionnaire (161 students, thank you all!), some didn`t have the chance because we didn`t have enough papers copied. So the people that filled the paper were very different from each other. Of course some people are not interested in a happening like that, so that cuts out some part of students. But I think I got a pretty good selection of students.

The questionnaire had different kinds of statements about various cultures and people had to choose wether they thought the statements were true or false. I made a summary of the answers and I`ll try to tell you what I found out. (Try is the right word, because I`ve never done a research like this...)

Okay now. If you want to take a look for the questionnaire, please help yourself. I've included it here on WWW also. The percentage after every question is the part of students that knew the answer. The letter T/F indicates wether the statement is true or false.
